Persian & Mediterranean Cuisine
Charcoal-grilled kabobs, saffron rice and stews simmered the way our mother made them, served on Fifth Avenue.
Our Story
Long before there was a dining room on Fifth Avenue, there was a small kitchen in Shiraz, a city of poets, rose gardens and dinners that ran long past midnight.
Our mother cooked for whoever came through the door, and nobody ever left hungry. When we left Iran, we carried very little, but we carried her recipes. They came with us first to Germany, where she filled a small apartment kitchen with saffron and fed neighbors who had never tasted tahdig. Years later they crossed an ocean with us again, to the United States and finally to San Diego.
Three countries, and the same table every time: a stew left to simmer all afternoon, kabobs marinated overnight and grilled over open flame, and the belief that every guest is a blessing. Pars is our way of setting her table for you.

Kind Words
The kebabs were beautifully grilled, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The saffron rice was perfectly prepared, and the traditional Persian stews were rich, aromatic, and delicious.
The lamb shank was so good, super tender and full of flavor. The owner was genuinely friendly and made me feel right at home.
The stew was rich and full of flavor, reminding me of homemade Persian food. Everything was beautifully presented, and the portions were generous.
Absolutely loved this place! Everything was full of flavor, and the owner was so warm and welcoming. You can really tell they care about the food and their customers.
The plating was beautifully done and the taste was incredible. First meal of the trip and it did not disappoint.
A new place, with good quality of food and good service and atmosphere. I tried lamb rack and kashk & bademjan.
